lighthearted fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? No
  • Diverse cast of characters? No

2 stars. mmm ariana pretty much sucks as a friend… she will Never be a friend of mine!

this book was also so funny in the sense that a lot of it was so dramatic and i’m no professional in the entertainment industry but this book was acting like it took place in the early 2000’s like girl this was written in 2020 like so many celebs are able to live a private life and keep their partners private i promise u that. it was truly all so dramatic and sorta silly

the writing was easy but it was so specific to details i truly did not care about. i’m interested to see what gabriel’s pov is about because i think this book wouldve been infinitely better with a dual pov and better editing. gabriel really was more lovable than ariana was and the book needed a lovable main lead.

was definitely a book i could read and kind of zone out to while being indifferent about. also i think it’s interesting that the author is australian (i think) writing about characters in the US. there was some bits that felt british-y to me and it totally threw me off a little.
