This novel by H.D. Carlton was a departure from their usual style, but in a refreshing way. The story of Sawyer and Enzo's relationship was complex and captivating. Initially appearing toxic, their dynamic evolved into something much deeper and heartfelt. Despite their individual struggles and coping mechanisms, they found solace in each other. Their love story was sweet and transformative, showcasing personal growth and the power of connection. The narrative skillfully weaved in a subplot involving a troubled individual, adding depth and perspective to the characters' own challenges. The book was a delightful blend of romance, character development, and engaging storytelling. It was an amazing read!
