Collected Grimm Tales by Carol Ann Duffy, Tim Supple
3.0
I found this rather underwhelming, if I'm honest. Duffy is one of my favourite poets, but I do not feel as though the short story form really suits her style. There was very little beauty within the almost run-of-the-mill prose here, and very little was added to the original stories.
Grimm Tales is a nice enough read if you like fairytales, but nothing within it adds to or subverts the original stories in any way. A good point is that several more unusual stories have been included, but these are largely a little less exciting than those which are better known.
