Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto

Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.
The premise could be very cute but it’s just unreadable. The negative stereotypes are abundant and cloying. Vera is portrayed as being completely stupid and having really bad English. She’s the worst of every Asian mom stereotype (controlling, overbearing, superstitious) paired with being totally obtuse and… well, just dumb. A complete caricature in every negative way, with no redeeming traits.
