This book irritated me. Penny needs a lesson in self love. Why does she constantly put her own needs aside and allow ‘the love of her life’ to treat her like a door mat?
It was mildly endearing in the first book, she was young and it was her first real relationship. It was kind of cute. Mildly frustrating in the second book but she was still finding herself on top of a lot of very stressful stuff going on, but this book just took it to a new level.
2.5 yrs together and she still can’t just say no? Can’t tell him to stop making decisions about her future without consulting her? Can’t set boundaries, especially when James uses sex to get his way? Still behaving like a whiney child who is incapable of doing anything alone?
Urgh, if she was my friend I would have knocked some sense into her by now! Pretty sure James would be sick of her too.
I do love the story and I will continue with the series because I do feel attached to most of the characters, but if she doesn’t find her inner bad bitch soon, I’m out.
