Always is the 4th book in the Single Dad series written by R.J. Scott

Cameron moves to New York, as a single father, with the love of his life. While there, he is alienated from his closest friends. He is alone. After his husband embezzles thousands of dollars and murders someone, he is left alone. Once again a single father, he is scared for his son's life. He moves back home and into a strangers house. He needs to find a job fast; he doesn’t plan to stay long to keep the press off his trail but he finds new love. Adam, a young firefighter, attempts to save a child, while he does, he almost loses his life and does lose his career. All he ever wanted to be is a firefighter. He can’t stand very long and has excruciating headaches that leave him bed bound for days. When Cameron and his son move in, Adam just wants to fill his big house and keep himself busy but what he finds, instead, can change his life.

Adam was so sweet. He connected with Cameron and Finn (Cameron’s son) fast, and adapted his house for them. He falls for both of them. I love how he included Finn in his activities and humoured him. Cameron fell for Adam as fast as Adam fell for him—which was sweet—and they work very well together as a couple. He doesn’t treat Adam with kid gloves, despite his injuries, and he fits into Adam's big family.

I really liked this book. It was an easy read, and I read it in a single sitting. I was sad to see it end, but I did want them to have their happy ever after. The characters deserved it. I am also super excited for the next book. We hear a lot about Nick in this book, and he also deserves a happily ever after.
