This was 100% a romance book for men. There is a lot of interpersonal conflict that is adjacent to, but not directly about, sex. The three main characters rarely talk to each other about what they need or want out of the other two. If you don’t like miscommunication then you need to stay away from this book. While it was frustrating to read, it was very well-written. At no point did it feel contrived, and every character had good intentions behind their motivations, excellent drama all around.
