Stay With Me by Reana Malori

All it took was three little words

Keisha and Greg had been best buds from the time they first met in the marines. When you saw one you knew the other one was somewhere close by. Keisha fell in love with Greg the minute they met, but was resigned to the fact that she would always be nothing but a friend to him. He'd introduce each and every one of his girlfriends to her not knowing it was breaking her heart that he could not see her right in front of him. These women looked nothing like Keisha. Neither one could think of living a life without the other in it. They told each other everything and did almost everything together. After six-year, Keisha could no longer take being relegated to the best friend position in Greg's life. She needed to get a life of her own without being at the beck and call of Greg. She needed a man in her life who would love her for herself. Someone who would marry her and give her children.

Keisha's new attitude towards Greg threw him for a loop. She was no longer at his side every minute or available to his every call. It just tickled me to see how he reacted once Keisha put the kibosh on being available to him and was going out on a date with another man no doubt. He really cut up. He could finally see what he would be losing. He had to admit to himself that he kept from going there with Keisha because he knew that he would not be able to give her up. But she said three words "stay with me" and that was all it took. Once was not enough for him and he knew it. He had to admit to himself that all of his previous girlfriends weren't Keisha and did not measure up to her and that was why he'd cut them loose.

This was a beautiful eye-opening friends to lovers romance story. It brought tears to my eyes with Keisha revealing to Greg that she thought that she was invisible in his eyes, and that she could never compete with the beautiful women who tried to get his attention like the "Homewrecker" tried to do. He finally got it and would never let the perfect woman for him getaway. I loved this story!Keisha and Greg had been best buds from the time they first met in the marines.
