The aesthetic is impeccable, the descriptions make it so easy to visualize the different situations without slowing the pace of the story or making it boring. The writting overall was exquisite.
About the plot, I have so many thoughts I don't even know where to start off. I found myself wondering why did I like these characters so much if they were, objectively, awful people. I came to the conclusion that it is all because of Richard's idolizing narration. He is a weak and boring person that has a complete lack of personality and all he does is try to fit in with the others. As he himself puts it towards the end, he over romantizes them, and by the time they start showing their true colors, we are far to enthralled to see them for what they trully are.
