Somewhere Only We Know by Maurene Goo

2.0

This was not what I was expecting at all. I can get behind the darker look at the K-Pop industry, and the book is diverse but that's about it. The book is mostly about the relationship between Jack and Lucky, and the relationship between the two of them is so gross that it makes it hard to like this book. Jack is legitimately a terrible person, and his viewpoints are written so uncomfortably predator-like that it's uncomfortable. He has no issue with ruining lives or misrepresenting himself to Lucky in order to put himself in a position to take advantage of her to get his paparazzi shots. Somewhere Only We Know is probably for someone, it just wasn't for me.
