The Nice and Accurate Good Omens TV Companion by Matt Whyman

4.0

This is a great book and indeed an excellent companion to the brilliant series that is Good Omens! It has lots of beautiful pictures, behind the scenes anecdotes and background information, which will delight every fan. Even if you already watched some bonus material and informative YouTube clips, you'll learn something new here and you'll be amazed by all the thoughts, planning, creativity and sheer manpower that went into making Good Omens.
Why am I giving it only four stars then? Well... It is obvious that this book was written and put together before anyone had seen the final result. This book ends after the shoot was completed. That does give it a documentary behind the scenes style, which is good. But it also means that you won't learn a lot about the work that happened after the filming was done - e.g. editing and CGI. And there is one chapter in particular that takes a close look at scenes that didn't make the final cut, which is a little confusing. Nonetheless if you are a Good Omens fan, you'll enjoy this book and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
