I tried so hard to get through this book, but it was not well written, nor did I particularly care about any of the characters (except the MMC). It felt like the author had a poster board full of “scene” post-its and just put them in order of how she wanted them to happen, but forgot to write the parts that help the story flow.
It started out so promising with the kidnapping scene and then the MMC seeing the FMC’s aura colors and deciding not to kill her, but then it got so choppy and inconsistent. Plus, I didn’t love the male narrator’s performance.
I was really debating just pushing through the last almost 2 hours, but I found that I really didn’t care what happened. If I had finished it, I probably wouldn’t have rated it higher than 3 stars.
