So I read another novel of Hannah’s before noticing she had a couple more on her backlist. I picked this one up on a whim and unfortunately… am slightly disappointed. It was obvious that Eliza didn’t have chemistry with a certain someone and did in fact have chemistry with guy number 2. This book doesn’t reek of privilege but Eliza does come from a fortunate background where she had help to start a business. Jewelry, especially when you are dealing with certain stones, isn’t cheap so I feel like that kind of threw me off when she mentioned Uber was a unnecessary splurge she couldn’t afford yet she can buy vegan food and bottles of wine constantly? Idk I feel like if I were using this book as a sidewalk, my feet would have lost their footing and I would have rather walked on the street than continue on this path.
