It snuck up on me how much I loved My Favorite Half Night Stand. Going into it I wasn’t expecting as much emotional depth and growth that Mille, our main character, goes through.
Yes, her decision making and thought process was aggravating at times, but I always understood where she was coming from. I related to her a lot and we’re probably more similar than I’d like to admit, so seeing Millie reach her emotional growth actually made me tear up.
I loved the dynamic of the friend group, however, I think the supporting characters could’ve been flushed out more as I really couldn’t tell you the difference between Alex and Chris other than Chris knew Reid longer.
But overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. I read it in only 2 reading sessions and it’s definitely a new favorite.
