okay so like a majority of this book’s readers, i started reading because of all the tiktok recommendations and my friend told me she loved it. i loved the Cruel Prince series by Holly Black so I was like ok let’s try. Let me start with it goes incredibly slow. I’ve seen on tiktok and heard from my friend the first book is the hardest to get through. I probably would have DNFed if my friend didn’t already give me the next two books.
the fact that a major plot point is she is illiterate is crazy to me. can’t tell if i hate it or love it. Also I cannot stan Feyre. Oh and this Nesta slander is annoying. Yes, she was a bitch but y’all don’t have a sister? She risked her life to see what and where Feyre was because she knew a faerie had taken her. she’s a real one. I stan Nesta and I wish Feyre would follow her. Also Tamlin is a love bomber. sorry!!
I will say, I did end up getting invested and knew it got really good towards the end once it got to that scene
under the mountain
it was so good and yeah I was late to work because i needed to know what happened. It got a 2.5 because i didn’t view the book as bad but it was like walking through mud to get through. I will, however, be reading the next book because I heard it’s better so here’s hoping.
