A Likely Story by Jenn McKinlay
5.0
I love cozies, I love books....cozies about books, libraries or bookstores are especially enjoyable. This is one of my favorite series. It's classic cozy in setting and premise, with interesting characters. The mystery is nicely intricate and grabs on. Jenn McKinlay is very good with the laying out of possible suspects and weaving the story along with the character development.
Someone is buying up islands off the coast where librarian Lindsay lives. There's a suspicious death on one of the islands that she visits with book deliveries. Everyone has to be careful since this whole island is boobytrapped to allow the brothers who live there keep their solitude. A nice array of suspects.
Little bit of a love triangle, a new love in bloom, but it doesn't overwhelm the mystery. It's a nice tone.
I liked the short story that the author included. It was a neat intro to a new character that I look forward to more stories from.
I can definitely recommend this books, series and author.
