I devoured this book. It has everything I love in a book. Fairytale retelling? Check. Strong FMC character? Check. MMC obsessed with the FMC? Check. Interesting magic system? Check.
I loved the exploration of the magic systems, it's ties to emotions and being a woman. I loved how the bad guys explorations are explored but not forgiven, as the plan was to help humanize but still show them as villains. I need to read the prequel STAT because I just know the Crone's story is going to kill me.
Huge shout out to the author for honoring the original nature of the Grimm stories and their darkness.
