Each story shows that it is possible to get to know a character not only through their internal thoughts, but in their reaction to their circumstances.
A bit slow but definitely reflects on the nature of womanhood as a reaction to relationships (or lack thereof) with men. Can definitely understand how this has become a seminal piece of feminist literature.
