Three Women by Lisa Taddeo

3.0

This book reads like beautifally-crafted fiction, and Taddeo imbues her descriptions of each woman with deep humanity and empathy. I am especially thankful that Maggie's story was told. Perhaps in this #MeToo moment, Aaron Knodel will finally be brought to task for his actions. However, my main reason for giving this book 3 stars instead of 4 is due to Taddeo's generalizations throughout this book about female desire. I worry that using the heterosexual experiences of three cis middle-class White women may further sexist claims about what it is to identify as a woman with sexual desires and needs.
