This is a great book, but it's a little hit or miss at story time. Sometimes it falls completely flat; sometimes it elicits lots of giggles and engagement. I read it the same way both times, so I'd say that it really just depends on the kids. I do only recommend this for advanced story time readers. You have to be prepared to leave almost every shred of dignity you have at the door and fully give yourself to the silliness. The more over the top your performance, the better.
