Maybe I'm biased but I couldn't give it any less than 5 stars. What spurred me on to finally buy it was season 4 airing currently and I'm loving it so much. I watched it first in 2020 and I don't remember much so I'll be happy reading these without remembering too much.
Reading this, has made me appreciate Atsushi more and feel bad that he's overshadowed by Dazai, the formers backstory seems really depressing. His entrance exam was my fave chapter. I also want to take a moment to appreciate Tanizaki's ability because its really and i does make him kind of powerful. Also the fandom has babygirlified Akutagawa so much that I forgot he was a criminal... so.
Can't wait to meet the rest of the members next volume (especially my personal faves Ranpo and Kenji). Ranpo has a very different vibe in the manga from what I've seen so far. I love the art style.
I also love that Dazai calls Atsushi lad it makes me laugh (i know its probably because of translation but its still funny to me). Anyways, great start to a great series!
