I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

challenging emotional funny reflective medium-paced

5.0

reading this book was like looking into the mind and memories of Jeanette. her storytelling is so vivid yet when reading with the lens of years of therapy, the stories of her childhood have an added layer of utter sadness. never before has a book made me want to scream and protect its protagonists so strongly. I found myself identifying with stories of my own childhood and recognising some of those traits.
