The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer

4.0

I put off reading this book for a long time; I knew a lot of people who loved it, but I read some negative reviews and it’s a long book. I really liked it. It could’ve stood some editing, and nothing particularly exciting “happens”, but it doesn’t need to: it’s just regular people, thrown together in adolescence, and then it traces their lives through middle age in completely relatable ways. I found myself looking forward to reading it each day, which is always a good sign.
