Okay first of all, why do none of the reviews for this book mention the fact that it’s about an almost 30-year-old woman engaging in a sexual relationship with a minor???! And the author never addresses or critiques the ick of this?! It’s just supposed to be hot and romantic that she’s ~deflowering a minor~ like what the actual fuck?! I wouldn’t mind it if the author was self-aware of how problematic it is but it was only ever presented as a positive.
But even aside from that this book was just not good. Way over written. Literally nothing happens for about 90% of the book but the story is dragged out by cringily over-the-top prose. The main characters were also so annoyingly pretentious, while tone-deafly complaining about how pretentious their school is. Like uhhhh you both fit in just fine in that case.
It wasn’t good. Would not recommend.
