This was an entertaining read. As a former NPS employee, I love how accurate it is (it's always so wrong). That really impressed me. Because I have an interest in a lot of things similar to Anna in the NPS, I found the long descriptions of the Park and SARs, etc to be interesting. I could see where some readers might find the details tedious.
There were so many red herrings and possible suspects I was kept guessing until the end. I loved how accepting Anna was of different people. I didn't expect that. It has aged well, written in 1993 there wasn't much that I felt was glaringly outdated or took me out of the story, 30 years later (whoa!). That could be partially because Parks are often in remote locations and some tech remains the same (boots and backpacks and King radios).
I already checked out the next book in the series.
