Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls

2.0

I had to read this book for school, so it seemed a really slow when I couldn't just read the entire thing whenever I wanted to. I really liked the chapter with Rainie and Rubin because there was a lot of action there. And when Rubin dies, OMIGOSH. And when Old Dan dies, it was sad, but I didn't cry because it was predictable and some spoiled me. But it was so heart-breaking when Little Ann wanted to die alongside with Old Dan, but I still didn't cry. I thought that this book was very endearing and that it teaches that you should work hard for what you want.
