This is a tough, tough read.  The women in this story have no rights and no purpose in like other than to marry, have children cook and clean.  It’s a powerful story and really makes you realize how much we take for granted.

I believe this multigenerational story is about giving women a voice and it’s something everyone should read even with the very difficult subject matter.  This is a book that will stay with me for a long time.
