Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella
3.0
This was a very decent book. If I'm honest with myself, I originally picked up this book because the title is very similar to Looking for Alaska. However, as I began reading, it holds it own. This would be a great book for a teen who is struggling with friends and fitting in.
This book tackles a concept that many people find uncomfortable: mental illness. This book makes mental illness real, and doesn't shine it in a bad light. I would love to use this book in my classroom, as an example that mental illness is just that, an illness. It is nothing you should be ashamed of. To many teens deal with problems like the ones talked about in this book, and hide it away. This book shows that is okay.
