Goliath by Scott Westerfeld

Barking good fun. It's nice to see a YA novel that lets characters make their own decisions. And that they have to deal with the situations those choices might lead to. Plus overarching themes, like the idea of "peace through power" and ability vs. capability (when thinking about women)... it's like a tiny Harry Potter. Nearly.

Also, I want a perspicacious loris. Like, real bad.
