Gerald's Game by Stephen King

This is the first Stephen King book I've read, mainly because I wanted to watch the movie adaptation so I found a copy at the thrift store and picked it up.
I enjoyed it, more than I thought I would. It definitely had some suspenseful parts and the overall arching plot with Jessie and her quasi coming of age story I enjoyed. I read this last summer I think so I barely remember.
I beg of you to not watch the movie adaptation because it was so bad it makes me angry. I don't know why Kings adaptations are so polarising but if you're interested in the story read the book and forget the movie exists.
