Three Sisters by Susan Mallery

4.0

A fun beach read about dysfunction in a small town. The story starts off mainly following one character, Andi, as she has her heart broken and moves to a remote island town to start fresh. But then Andi meets her neighbors, with almost polar opposite personalities from one another, and tries to build friendships with them while renovating her new home. Walls are torn down in both the literal and figurative sense, and the story then starts to follow the point of view of each of the three women as we slowly get to know them all on a deeper level. The story certainly covers many tough topics, like the loss of a child, child abuse, OCD tendencies and mental health, just to name a few. But overall the story is a decently easy read and depicts how true friendship and support can grown when people are willing to risk being vulnerable with each other.
