Crisis? What Crisis?: Britain in the 1970s by Alwyn Turner

4.0

Turner's overview of the 1970s is by definition a high-level affair - covering an entire decade of British social and political history in a few hundred pages means it's always going to be something of a whistle-stop tour. That said, it is a great overview with all of the key areas being hit on the way through.

A good introduction to the period, but lacking in depth compared to some of the more extended works out there.
