This collection is a monster that took me more than two years to wade through but on the whole I think this is the best thing I've ever read from Grant Morrison and as much as I think great things can happen when writers are given longer runs with characters and titles it's still amazing that Animal Man and Morrison were given 26 self referential issues to break forth walls and go in political directions no other writer would imagine.
