Forever in the Country by Alexandra Hale

5.0

“…bottom line is we all have baggage and it’s up to the people we build a relationship with if they want to help us carry it or not. We can’t make that decision for them.”

After his discharge from the military Sorren returns to the only home he had known. Rhea had become his best friend and his safe place. When feelings start to come into play, Sorren is afraid he will lose her. So, he tries to keep them in the friend zone, but Rhea eventually forces his hand.

Forever in the Country is the fifth book in the Clementine Creek series by Alexandra Hale. This was a new-to-me author, and I was looking forward to reading this book. The book itself was great, easy to read, and had wonderful characters, but I suggest reading the series in order. I read it as a standalone and there were times when I got confused when the author referred to previous instances. I fell in love with the people and the small town of Clementine Creek! I loved the witty banter, the large family, and the drama. I have to go back and read the previous books because I am hooked on Clementine Creek!

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
