I went into this book hoping it would remind me of that one Magnus Archives episode (iykyk) and it did in some ways, but it definitely wasn't as spooky as I had thought. I enjoyed it overall; it's been a while since I've read something with only a couple of character narratives. I did get confused on the setting quite a lot and would try to reference the maps but that wasn't much help either. I'm sure that can add to the lost underground vibe but it really took me out of the story sometimes. I do wish the was more shocking, but maybe that's the point haha. Anyway I don't regret reading this, it was a nice dip into the spooky books for the fall season!
