The time skip between the two books honestly changed the whole dynamic of the characters.

It seemed like the story was going to be enemies to lovers between Leander and Rina,
however, the summer spent at Leander’s home changed their relationship. It said that they didn’t spend much time together but their relationship had become closer?? It was very odd that the new school year showed them as very close. The first book seemed too short so there should have been at least one epilogue chapter on their summer.

I genuinely think that the author tried to drag out these books because the relationships from the first to second book are still lacking. The characters felt flat and underdeveloped
Dave being a random side character? Many of the other side characters who don’t have a story apart from to develop the plot (Boone etc)
but I enjoyed the plot.
