I've read this series out of order (started with 3 and 4). I liked Lick a lot better than Deep (honestly, I really disliked Ben).
Lick and Lead were both written in ways that made me believe that the leads did fall in love. Also, I did not hate either of the heroes like I started to when I read Deep.
