Proxy by Alex London, C. Alexander London

4.0

Proxy was a nice surprise. It wasn't a nice book, though, and it wasn't meant to be. All the characters beside Syd were horrible but somehow still likable. All choices were set to bring hurt one way or another.

And all throughout the book, notions rarely tackled in ya literature, such as debt, responsibility and individuality VS the greater good, were brought up and discussed in various situations. This book doesn't give you answers, for there are no complete answers to inequalities and suffering anyway. But it gives you a great deal of thoughts, and a painful yet fun adventure with three very different protagonists.
