I was interested in this book to read with my mini me. I asked her thoughts and opinions, so I figured I’d include both of our opinions in this post.

My Thoughts
In my opinion this is a really important book,that ALL young children need to read atleast once, kids need to know that their voice matters. Olive Morris is an important figure in black history, that I personally didn’t know much about. The illustrations were nice and colorful, but not overwhelming, perfect for young eyes.The writing style is simple is enough for very young kids, but informative enough to where my 9 year old was interested. I’m my opinion, even if you think your kid or loved one could be too old, give it a shot, Olive Morris was a great women.
