I liked this book better than the first one in the series. Pip was more lovable and didn't make as many morally wrong things as she did in the previous book. I really thought that the body would be Jamie's for a while and I really didn't think that he would turn out to be alive but he did somehow. I really did feel for Stanley. Although he didn't seem like a good guy in the first book he redeemed himself after apologizing and I don't think that it was wrong for him to want to live a normal life.
We are not our parents and I don't think a ten year old child would understand what his father was doing and what he was helping his father with. It was really sad when he died, I really wanted him to survive. Although I also feel for Charlie murdering a person is not the solution. Stanley was living a life without hurting people so I think that him murdering Stanley was not justified. I don't know I hope he is found and charged. Also I hope Max gets killed in the next book. Overall a solid read, really kept me on my toes.
