I started this series because I couldn't wait for Book 7 of the Dark Olympus, I need more Katee Robert!
I enjoyed this book but some aspects weren't really for me. I feel like the quality of this book compared to the Dark Olympus series is also lacking. There were a lot of small grammatical/spelling mistakes, enough that I noticed and it slightly affected my experience.
The pacing towards the end was a little fast, I wished we got more time to see the anger in Jasmine blossoming instead of the book just telling us it was happening.
I also missed some of the connections between Jasmine and Jafar. They have a lot of history but we don't really get to know the depth of it, just fairly general statements about their past.
Overall, I still enjoyed getting to know Carver City and the characters. I'm looking forward to starting book 2 soon!
