Hellbound is the fourth and final book in Richard Amos’s Hellbound Shifters series. Draven and his brothers are back for one final showdown with Dolos. Thanks to his taking control everything has changed. Dolos may be stuck where he’s at, but what does it really mean? Well, the one thing that it doesn’t mean is that he’s powerless, because he’s not. While there have been some benefits to his claiming the power, the consequences of the imbalance that he is creating are far worse.
Draven and everyone connected to him have a rough road ahead of them. Some are more than willing to accept the new status quo, but not everyone is onboard with the new regime.
The author takes you on a ride with these characters as they have to fight to restore what is right. You get little recaps to fill you in where the author thinks you need a little reminder. There are steamy scenes to tantalize, and then there are scenes that really bring the drama.
The pacing is okay, but there are quite a few slow spots throughout. It made pushing forward a bit difficult, but more often than not it was worth it. Since this is the final book, you get a nice HEA to satisfy. I’m rating this book 4 out of 5 stars.
