A False Start by Elsie Silver

4.0

I don't know how to feel. I was really not sure how I felt about a fourteen year age difference. I mean, the ten years between Cole and Violet wasn't that bad cause she was older than 21, at least. But it felt so weird for Nadia to be 19 and Griffin to be 33 when they first met. Just kinda icky.

That being said, this is probably ranked second for me out of the series. I really appreciated the growth that these characters did on their own. I liked that they spent so much time apart, learning how to be whole on their own.

Nadia is snarky and sunny and spunky. She made me bust out laughing multiple times. I am still so enthralled by these female main characters.

Griffin is also ranked second for me in terms of male main characters. He was just so tortured and miserable. I loved it.

As a whole, this series felt like it was written by a completely different author than the Chesnut Springs Series. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Just really felt different.

Ten out of ten, would read again. Not any time soon. But someday.
