I honestly wasn't sure what I'd gotten myself into when I started this book. I got dark really quick, right from the beginning. Dean and Cora had no clue what kind of journey they were about to be part of. It's crazy how what you think is hate can change drastically when you have to open your eyes. I feel like I was on an emotional roller coaster during parts of this book, but in the end I powered through it and came out smiling at the end.
This is my first book by Jennifer Hartmann and I can't wait to read more.
