This was a great final book to the trilogy.  If the first book was Ari's, and the second book was Cvareh's, this one was definitely Florence's.

Florence really is the star of the book.  She basically becomes the queen of the rebellion and really drives all their success.  She has a lot of emotional maturity and character development as she learns to lead and move beyond following Ari.

The book is fast paced, with high stakes, lots of action, and brutal deaths. It really wraps everything up well.  So why not 5 stars?

Look, Cvareh is my FAVORITE character.  And he gets so little page time.  I was almost giddy every time we did actually get a chapter from him.  Also, while I love him and Ari, I was getting SUPER tired of her Han Solo attitude and inability to tell Cvareh to his face that she loved him.  He is the best and deserves to be told every day that he is amazing.
Also, Florence got a love interest in this book, but the beginning of it was off page.  So I never warmed up to the whole relationship or had time to buy into it.  I love that she found happiness, and I get that laying the foundation of a romance in the middle of the last book and the middle of a war would be a difficult thing to take page time to do.  But for me, the emotional impact was lacking because of all that.

HOWEVER, this series really was great and I would highly recommend.  Cvareh alone makes it worth reading!
