This was a reread before House of Sky and Breath released and even though I remembered most of the main details it still wrenched my heart out. I think I cried though the whole last part of the book. The portrayal of friendships is some of the most beautiful I have seen written and really hit me in the feels.

The first half of the book is slower as there is a lot of world building to get through. I personally don't mind world building and when fantasy books have slower parts. I thought it was used well to cement the relationships and show that the relationships are real and not feel instant love.
