Growing Up Disabled in Australia by Carly Findlay

4.0

Collections can be hard to rate. There were pieces I loved, pieces I enjoyed, pieces I didn’t love quite as much. Collections are great in that they offer a lot of different thoughts on a topic all at once and so give you a great panoramic view. Here, I loved the diversity in age, disability, race/ethnicity, thoughts, sex/gender, sexual orientation/identity, and so on.

I tend to prefer books that stick with one POV longer and offer a deeper dive. But this one was super informative and an enjoyable read.

I’m glad I read it. A lot of my disability reading has been very US centric, so it was good to read about a different country.
