The Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times by Jennifer Worth

4.0

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was informative and I learned so much about midwifery and life in London's East End in the 1950s. Mrs. Jenkins's story just about broke my heart, I can't begin to imagine how difficult it must have been for her to go on with life day after day. I could have done without Jenny's religious revelations at the end of the book, but overall, it was great and I look forward to listening to the rest of her trilogy.
