Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder

It’s remarkably difficult to review this book, because while the novel wrapping around the ideas inside this book was kind of flawed, and the writer was over-fond of metaphors that didn’t quite click for me, and some of the summarisations are wrong and in hindsight remarkably shallow.. but gracious me what a collection of thought!.. Absolutely priceless…

I can sit here and make conceited remarks as much as I like, but the truth is that I can’t imagine how differently my life and my personality and my interests and values might have turned out without many of the ideas I first encountered here, because of this novel. How many books can we say that about?
