The bit with the sister DMing her supposed work friends who SHE BARELY FUCKING KNOWS pissed me off so badly, I had to DNF the book for my fucking sanity otherwise I was gonna throw something. Stupid ass bitch. Spoilery rant below.

so basically, the mc is ghostwriting a memoir for a member of a 1d-like boy band (they split up 8 yrs ago after one of the members went missing). turns out, in her little writing retreat to work on the memoir, she meets the missing member who's been hiding for 8 years, presumed dead. the book is going fine at this point, if a little boring, but then HER SISTER SHOWS UP UNANNOUNCED. okay, so far not too bad, not dnf worthy. and then two of the other band members show up, THE FUCKING SISTER TAKES A PICTURE OF THE THREE MEMBERS TOGETHER  (including the supposedly dead one) AND FUCKING SENDS IT TO HER WORK FRIENDS. except, oh wait, SHE HARDLY FUCKING KNOWS THEM AND ONE OF THEM SHARES THE PICTURE. THEN SOMEONE WHO THE "FRIEND" SHARED THE PICTURE TOO SHARES IT TO REDDIT AND I WAS DONE. FUCK THAT FUCKING SISTER BRO. I WAS NOT READING ANY MORE PAGES OF HER FUCKING DUMBASSERY. i got 77% (270 of 352 pages) of the way thru and i was DONE. BULLSHIT.
